Dave, I've lost one or two emails through gmail this past year, yes it
was because of RBLs. Any email service provider has to constantly run
checks on their STMP IPs and resolve any listings. I imagine this IP
will be cleared up shortly, or Google will abandon it. The IP is
actually on just two RBLs, SORBS has different lists for different
offenses. They will list you in one list if they don't like the way you
configured your DNS records, in another if you left open relay on,
another if you don't have an active postmaster mailbox, stuff like that,
etc. I don't recommend using SORBS, and should you have to deal with a
company that does, I would inform them that they are probably missing
emails from prospective customers and clients because their mail server
is within a virtual bunker.

Subject: [DFW CFUG] OT: Gmail on SORBS black list??

I know several people on this list use Gmail, and wondered if anyone
else had experienced this.  I got rejected sending to my company's email
server, and on researching it found this:

http://rbls.org/?q=64.233.184.207   (that is the IP that my account used
for SMTP)

Has anyone else had any problems?
