Matt, I have just wrapped up development on a MachII/Reactor jump-start type application with roles based security, plugin factories, and such, that I plan on releasing freely. It is in essence a zip file and a SQL script to allow people to get started with their application already at that point and get moving. I am now using this as a basis for all applications that I am writing and it is a great starting point. I would be happy to demo it if anyone is interested.
