Is it possible that the 'ApplicationFolder' is mapped using a ColdFusion mapping? If that is the case your web server will have no idea where to find the file. If this is the case, adding the same mapping to your web server should do the trick.

Subject: Re: [DFW CFUG] CFMX7 not recognizing JS, IMG files
Ok. Back to this pending issue. I am sorry, I could not get back to this issue for a while but this problem still exists.
In short about the problem:
1. http://MyServer:6080/ApplicationFolder/index.cfm works great
2. http://MyServer:6080/ApplicationFolder/index.htm gives HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found
3. <script language="_javascript_" src="" type="text/_javascript_"></script> in .cfm gives object not found but same code in <script></script> in .cfm file works fine.
4. Does not find any image file in <img> tag.
The details for the CF installations are as below.
CF server : CFMX 7 Enterprise on Windows 2003
Web Server: SUNONE 6.1
Unfortulately due to company policy, I cannot check the setting at web server side. So if anyone can guide me what to check or where to set the mappings then I can send an email to our administrators to look into it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Shilpa.

If you are sure that the URL is correct
and you have the correct URL in the view>>source of the page
and the image still says not found,
then it looks like a permissioning issue.
Did I read that you are running IIS?

Thanks Derek,
I am not able to see them no matter what path I give or putting all those files in same folder or even if I try to see them by enterening url in address bar.
Here is my directory structure:
\\MyServer\CFusionMX7\wwwroot\ApplicationFolder\js
\\MyServer\CFusionMX7\wwwroot\ApplicationFolder\images
and the URl of the appliocation is
This CFMX 7 server is recently installed by our Infrastruture Admin and I am trying my CF4.5 application on MX7.
I think this is related to some settings on the web server but I am still waiting for our Admin to provide me server configuration information.
Thanks,
Shilpa.

I think this just verfies that the file is not found with your relative link in your include script tag.
Please post your directory structure..

Dave,
One more piece of information: if I copy the _javascript_ code from js file and paste it in cfm file in <script></script> tag, it works fine.
Thanks,Shilpa.

One other thing I meant to mention before hitting "send" too soon... if you see those image tags in the HTML, can you copy and paste the path into your address bar and display them?

Parsing JS and img tags is the job of the webserver, not the application server. If you see the JS/img files in the source of the HTML, then I believe you can rule out CF being part of the problem.

Please help!!!!!
My company has downloaded 30 days trial version of CFMX 7 on windows. I am currently testing my CF 4.5 application on CFMX 7. My application works fine but somehow it is not recognizing .js file or <img> tag.
I have included .js file in my .cfm file as <script language="_javascript_" src="" type="text/_javascript_"></script>
And <img src="" width=150 height=60 border=0 alt="">
These files are in "js" and "images" folders under my main application folder.
I tried putting these files in same folder as my application Or mapping the folder from administrator but no luck.
Does anyone anyone have any ideas as to why this might be happening? And what is the solution? Do I have to do some settings on web server?
Thanks in advance,
Shilpa.
