We actually run it on a couple of machines
here at the office. If there is something that we want to download and test we
can install it on the VM machine. We take a snapshot, install the software,
test it and then either replace the snapshot or if it messes up that VM machine
we can just roll it back to the original snapshot. Our network admin saw it
used in training situations where you had people training on the machines and
they could do whatever and at the end of that day you roll back to the snapshot
and it is “like new” again. Tim From:
