Just another suggestion, you might try <cfsavecontent variable="emailContent">.  That tag allows you to set all of your html code with it as a variable.  Then you can just inculde that variable between your <cfmail> tags.

The time this happened to me was when I was including the first 60
characters of user input into the subject and there were some cases
where carriage returns were part of that input...

I've had similar problems when the first character of the message was
not left justified and have since always left justified my cfmail
tags rather then maintaining the indenting scheme I use when I code.

To make it even more bizarre this page was working fine until I
inserted a couple additional fields.  Now I've done so much tweaking
I don't even think I can get it back to where it was in order to start
over.
