Does anyone know how to apply a mask to a text field in a
cfform and base the mask on the option selected in a cfselect? I have a search
field that will allow a tech to search a table and choose the field that they
would like to search on – that part works fine. However, there is a
serial number field and there are two different “masks” for the
field. One is 9999-9999-9999 and the other is 99999-9999-99999-99 How would I have a drop-down that had my five search field
options but if serial 1 is chosen the text search field had the mask of
9999-9999-9999 but if serial 2 were chosen it had a mask of 99999-9999-99999-99
Or would it just be easier to try to test to see if the –‘s
were there and add them if they weren’t? Thanks, Tim
