Doug,
You might want to start by looking at Matt Woodward's quick start guide. It talks about the basics, views and events.

After that you can move on to listeners, he has another great document about that topic.

Matt made the documents are easy to read and understand, he's a very good writer.
Take it slow, there is a lot to grasp when picking up mach-ii for the first time.

Enjoyed the meeting last night.
To be sure much of the preso was over my head.
Never worked with a framework, which was one of the reasons for attending
the session last evening.
One thing that Andrew stated was for newbie's to concentrate on Views.
That being said, I tried looking at the Mach-ii.com and mach-ii.info sites
last night after getting home after the CFUG meeting.
I may have missed it, but I could not find anything that specifically
focused on Views.
I did a quick Google search for: "mach ii views newbie" but I did not find
that which I would have hoped for. Something that would bootstrap the new
guy here. Closet I came up with was:
http://www.waterswing.com/UserFiles/File/mach-ii%20for%20newbies%201.pdf#search=%22mach%20ii%20views%20newbie%22
So are there any doc's or sites that you would recommend for me to look at,
to read and digest AND hopefully start understanding/learning views?
To be sure, I am a slow learner. But as I ramp up, I tend to get to a
point and experience increasing "LIL's" [or leaps in logic]. But have
to plod on thru.
Have no one locally or nationally in our org that uses CF and Mach-II, so
hopefully you or members of this group can start me on that learning curve.
Maybe someday I can get to the point that you are at, but right now, it
will clearly be an uphill battle.
Thanks in advance.
Doug Cranston
