I'm not actively working with iSeries Navigator anymore .. so I am telling
you what I know from memory. You might check IBM's site as they generally
have nice documentation.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. iSeries Navigator will also generate SQL for
you if you like. You can pick a library or a table and have it generate SQL
that can be pasted into CF for example.

EEK! The green screen! lol! ;o)

Ron, if you've got access to the iSeries Navigator, you can add libraries,
tables, fields, etc. There are certain limitations, but they may only apply
to the super old version of the SQL engine that we're running on at my
client. For instance I can't rename a column after I've created it. Man, I
hope they've fixed stuff like that in more recent versions (we're due an
upgrade somewhere in the third quarter of this year...) :o)

Cheers,
Chris

Ron - Just an FYI - you can create some code that will work using the
interactive SQL tools on the AS/400. Its not a GUI but you can have it
prompt you for stuff with F4 almost anywhere in the app.

Ooops. Sorry about that Ron, my bad... I was too excited to help and I
misread what you were asking for :-)

I believe Mike's example will work.
