So the meeting is in the same place, but now we'll have internet access?
I'm not going to be able to make it tonight (sadly), but I just wanted
to clarify that in case anyone else was wondering the same thing.
Also, just out of curiosity, if there'll be internet access tonight, why
isn't there internet access for every meeting. It would simplify some
presentations, or at least allow presentations to be... less restricted.

Typically on the day of the CFUG meetings, I send an email or make a
call to our contact at TEKSystems (Robert Ford) to remind them that we
are coming so that a meeting room is left open and that we have access.
Considering our need for internet access in this month's meeting, I sent
an email yesterday to ensure that we would have no issues. As of my
arrival at the office this morning there was no reply from Robert, so I
called TEKSystems when they opened. I was informed that Robert had been
transferred to a new office (@ 635/75). When I asked who would be
assuming that role as a liaison to us, I was told that no one would and
that we would be following him. Additionally she told me that the
meeting area that we have been using (the training room) was no longer
available. I was given the number for Robert's office and have called
him multiple times today with no response. I do need to make it clear
that I have spoken to no one in an authority position, and this was
simply conveyed through the receptionist, but this is the information
that I have so far.
As of now, tonight's meeting is officially ***not cancelled***, although
if we cannot secure a meeting room in the next couple of hours, I am
afraid that we will have no option other than to do so.
I will be at my office until about 5:30, and will have immediate access
to email so if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Additionally, my cell phone number is 940-231-4333, so feel free to call
me before making the drive to the meeting.
If the meeting is cancelled, I plan on driving to the TEKSystems office
and posting signs on the door letting any stragglers know.
I apologize for the confusion, but I will keep everyone updated as I
hear anything.
