Surely, but from what I have done in the past you have to do a little work
(oh, it is not that bad, keep reading). Specifically, loop over the query
result set using a for loop in cfscript and then take the records you are
looking for and placing them into a structure and array. Another way would
be to use a QofQ and use a select statement to create a new query resultset
that you can use and then use that resultset within your cfscript block.
 
CFSCRIPT can be addictive, especially when you are doing a lot of
comparisons and computations on datasets. I do a lot of management of
datasets within cfscript for both what I perceive as "speed" as well as
readability of my code.

Ok, I have not taken advantage of cfscript very much but I am trying to.
What is the easiest way to group results when using cfscript?  I have always
just reverted back to <cfoutput query="queryname" group="field">
