I'm thinking about enabling jumbo frames (whatever the lowest common denominator for the LAN switches, probably 9212 in my case) for the home LAN, including the pfSense LAN MTU.
This should have no visible (CPU load, latency) on the WAN (6/100 MBit/s) connections, right?
