I'm using pfSense 2.0.1 and, ultimately, want to create a dual-WAN failover
setup. This will eventually replace an existing pfSense 1.2.3 multi-WAN setup.

'Though I've read multiple articles on how to set up CARP-based failover and
think I understand the overall strategy, I'm completely blocked on the first
step ... get a single-WAN router setup and working using a virtual IP with one
of the WAN ports.

I've tried everything I've read about, and several other things, but nothing
seems to work. Maybe someone can see what I'm doing incorrectly.

Our ISP issues static IPs via DHCP based upon a web-configured MAC-to-IP
mapping.

I've assembled the configuration information and some basic testing results
into a PDF at
www.derman.com/Resources/Misc/pfSenseSetupIssue.pdf

I'd appreciate any help I can get with this.
