I use supermicro 1U servers also. Work well.

Only awkward point is the room for expansion of network ports. There are 2 on 
the main board itseld but only 1 PCIx slot and you need to buy a riser board to 
fit the extra PCI slot. 

Apart from that minor issue it works really well.
