Hi

Our PF Sense 2.0.1 box has been super reliable for months and there hasn't been
any change in config for quite a while.

On the weekend though I got Nagios emails saying that remote hosts at satellite
sites were down. Initially it looked like the whole internet at the main site
was down for a couple of minutes and recovered but under investigation this is
not the case.

Strange thing is that some hosts appear down but others are not at the remote
sites. For example I can ping an esxi box on the remote site but not a separate
box or a VM running on the Esxi box.

This happens to all remote sites at the same time. Some sites use openvpn and
some are ipsec so not an issue specifically with one of the VPN services.

Nagios also monitors a public website. It said it was down and when remoted in
to my work PC I could not gain access to the site or ping it however on my
local computer at home the site was up and responded to a ping External
monitoring service also said the site was up. Since I was remoted in to my PC
Internet was clearly working but couldn't ping remote sites or visit this
public website but could google and browse other sites.

Initially thought this was possibly arp poisioning but no logs to show that.
The logs don't show much but I suspect they are currently not verbose enough.

This has now happened twice in a 24hour period with routing very unstable for
approx 30 minutes and then comes back and all is working,

Any Ideas? How would I best troubleshoot / diagnose this?

Cheers
