Hi List,

my short answer: it can be done - everything is possible, nothing is
impossible  - until you decide otherwise.
The related software is open-source software, so its up to you. :-)

In fact the makers of PfSense got that ready, so why nobody else?

The price of it: much work, much investigation, much time. Deeper knowledge
of FreeBSD and its Kernel-Structure
is very helpful otherwise you have to learn that too ( i think).
Except you are already an expert on Programming, FreeBSD, PfSense etc.
May be, you have also to rebuild and reconfigure the existing FreeBSD
Systems.

the bonus: you will get an expert of FreeBSD and PfSense.
