Hi pfsense community -

I successfully got pfsense running in Hyper-V on Win Server 2012. But,
found that the download speed on my Internet connection was severely
degraded. When using my other router / firewall vs pfsense on hyper-v, the
download speed went from 20 Mb down to 2 Mb down respectively.

I utilized the Hyper-V legacy network adapters as instructed in a tutorial
found on a pfsense forum. I used two NICs:
1. Broadcom integrated 1 Gb NIC with Hyper-V switch turned on visible to
host and guest OS for the LAN
2. Intel Pro 1000 PCI Express NIC virtualized switch with Hyper-V to
restrict access to the Guest OS only for the WAN

The download speed as mentioned was severely impacted by a factor of 10.
But the upload speed seemed to do alright staying at about 4 mb before and
after. Suggestions? Is it just the crappy Broadcom integrated NIC causing
trouble, the hyper-v switches, or is it the legacy network card driver that
Hyper-V uses?

Thanks.

-Brad
