I am in the process of applying the rules in the DOD/DISA firewall STIG [1] to pfSense. Before I started I googled a bit to see if anyone had openly done so, no results.
I decided I should ping here next. My assumption is that given the STIG has recently been overhauled/released (26-Apr-2013); I am trail blazing here. I will likely be popping up questions and/or suggestions while I am following the procedures set aside to ensure the security of a firewall. So if anyone has suggestions on how to document my progress or documents I should read, please speak up. -Jason 1) http://iase.disa.mil/stigs/net_perimeter/network_infra/u_network_firewall_v8r14_ stig_20130426.zip -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - - - Jason Pyeron PD Inc. http://www.pdinc.us - - Principal Consultant 10 West 24th Street #100 - - +1 (443) 269-1555 x333 Baltimore, Maryland 21218 - - - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- This message is copyright PD Inc, subject to license 20080407P00.
