MAC addresses only have to be unique to the segment they're connected to. So it doesn't matter that pfSense allocates incrementally and so does Soekris. Now, if you had port #0 and #1 connected to the same whether w segment or VLAN, and were also using "proxy ARP" VIPs, then you could have a problem. -Adam
