We've been watching that one for a while. There have been some detailed
discussions on the forum about it as well.

You can get them fully assembled with the board, case, storage, PSU,
pfSense preinstalled and premium support from Netgate in the US:
http://store.netgate.com/NetgateAPU2.aspx
Or just the board:
http://store.netgate.com/APU1C-P2035.aspx
Careful buying just the board though, they won't fit in every ALIX
enclosure. The older ALIX enclosures, even ones from PC Engines from
many years ago, will not fit properly causing the board to bend if you
try to screw it down fully. More recent ALIX/APU enclosures from Netgate
or PC Engines are OK, but in most cases you're better off getting a new
case to be sure. Without the right case, you'll have cooling issues. The
ALIX PSU barrel connectors are slightly smaller inside so it isn't a
direct swap for those either. The APU needs more power than the ALIX
anyhow, so make sure you have a proper PSU.
Also, there are issues with the PC Engines 16GB mSATA and pfSense, so if
you do go straight to PC Engines to buy you may not want to get that
until they are sorted.
I have pfSense 2.1 release installed on the pcengine m-sata and have no
problem.
Rebooted the unit often to make sure it restart corectly.
It is working for 2 weeks now with moderate trafic !!
Buying it assembled means not having to worry about any of that as all
of the hard work has been done for you. :-)
They should be up in the pfSense store in the near future as well.
