It doesn't, the recent security fixes don't have any relevance to compatibility or normal functionality for the client or server, whether running on pfSense, or on Windows, OS X, BSD, Linux, etc. OP's screenshot shows no errors from a client attempting to connect, so the client can't reach the server for some reason.
