Have you considered using openvpn instead of pptp? Pptp is pretty insecure nowadays. You can download the OpenVPN-Client for IOS using the appstore: https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/openvpn-connect/id590379981?mt=8 If you install the openvpn-client-export package you even can send the complete configration as mail attachment to your users. You can even get users authenticated against your AD so they don't need to remember an additional password! See https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/OpenVPN_with_RADIUS_via_Active_Directory OpenVPN is also less critical going through a NAT as it is simple UDP or TCP (whichever you pick) and not a Protocol of it's own like PPTP.
