Reboot from physical and logical connection with router/firewall does work - pfsense goes full circle of reboot and shows up well but with menu layout still as bad as before. The last menu item in one main menu line ends with Gold (pfsense Gold). "Help" "run away" from last position to under the first System item (the images prove the remarks).
