1. Another thing to compare the version of your dir and fd to see if they are close enough. old fd and new dir do not mix. old dir and new fd are ok unless they versions are too far apart.
2. The /usr/pbi/bacula-i386/local/etc/bacula/bacula-fd.conf - check to see if the name password matches with dir. 3. In the pf console, type bconsole and see if it connects with the dir. If not, check it's conf file: /usr/pbi/bacula-i386/local/etc/bacula/bconsole.conf 4. I COULD see bacula-fd in "top" when I first started it. Now I cannot - that's good news because I can find the fault for you. You will have to wait till tomorrow.
