Ah, thanks for confirming my observations in 2.2.1. I have huge squid cache (64 GB SSD) and I did not like seeing a cached download being counted in the WAN traffic.
This explains that. I am still very grateful to the pfsense people but would absolutely volunteer my QA services (do that for a living) to get a little better testing in the releases ;-).
