I updated a client's pfSense server from 2.2.0 to 2.2.1 a couple weeks ago,
and since then, the transparent proxy I had setup with Squid, doing content
filtering with Squidguard, broke.

I just updated again from 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 last week, and its still not
working.

Squid as a service is humming along just fine, but when I go to "start" the
Squidguard service (Status - Services -> click "start" beside Squidguard),
the system tells me that the service has started when it fact it't not
running.

Looking at system logs, this is the last error message seen:
php-fpm[26563]: /pkg_edit.php: The command '/usr/pbi/squid-amd64/sbin/squid
-k reconfigure' returned exit code '1', the output was '2015/04/21
18:22:30| parseConfigFile: squid.conf:69 unrecognized: 'url_rewrite_bypass'
squid: ERROR: No running copy'

Thinking this might've been a cache issue, I uninstalled the packages
completely, then went into Diagnostics -> Edit File -> and edited out every
reference to "squid" and "squidguard" I could find in /cf/conf/config.xml.

(see https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,57518.0.html).

I then did a fresh install of the packages, and Squidguard still fails to
start.

Any ideas?
