Hello, all --

I have a 2.2.4 based router with 1 WAN, and 4 LAN interfaces. All four LAN interfaces are bridged. Three are not limited in any way, but one has a 10m x 2m limiter on it, applied at the interface level by a firewall rule implementing a predefined limiter.

Every few days, without any immediately discernible reason, the limited interface ( and only that interface ) becomes unusable. The link is up, and it seems that 2-4k of traffic is trickling across the interface, but it's impossible to ping out.

Restarting the router ( and interrupting connectivity for all interfaces ) remedies the situation immediately, but it only holds for a few days. It appears to run for a week or so, plus or minus 2 days.

Any ideas of what could be causing this? At the very least, is there a specific process that can be restarted every night in crontab as a bandaid, rather than a full restart whenever one interfaces becomes despondent?

Thanks very much for any help you can offer //
