All,

I have searched through many docs through google trying to figure out the
right way to whitelist a domain. The only way I have been able to achieve
results is by whitelisting the ip of the host itself which would lead to
reserving an ip in the dhcp pool for this address something I really do not
want to do. Let me see if I can explain.

The wife has a laptop and an ancestry.com account. With Squid and Squid
Proxy Filter running we can get to the site but none of the drop down
buttons work, she can't even log into the site, essentially the main page
comes up but none of the functionality works.

1. Under target categories I have created a whitelist and in the
domain box have added ancestry.com.

2. Under common ACL whitelist is at the top and I have chosen
whitelist for access.

What I have found as previously stated this does not work. Now if I create a
second group ACL and in that group ACL don't block anything at all and only
put the laptop's IP address in the source address box ancestry.com works
perfectly and all the other pc's in the house are still blocked from violent
sights etc or sites I have chosen to be blocked.

Running

2.2.4-RELEASE (amd64)

Any ideas?
