**KELLY ZEN-YIE TSAI ****is a Chinese-Taiwanese American spoken word
artist who fights for cultural pride and survival through how she lives
and how she spits. She has been featured at over 180 performances
across the ****United States**** and ****Canada**** including over 30
colleges and universities as well as venues like the Nuyorican Poets
Café, the House of Blues, the Apollo Theater in ****Harlem****, and
three seasons of "Russell Simmons Presents HBO Def Poetry."**

**Her background in community organizing, domestic violence counseling,
and youth leadership ground her understanding in spoken word as a tool
for social justice, self-determination, and change. **

MINNEAPOLIS MOSAIC -- FREE!
See Macalester fellows and fellow travelers Alessandra Williams, Shana
Davis, and Romina Takimoto perform with Ananya Dance Theater from
7-7:30PM at Pantages Theater, 710 Hennepin Avenue, downtown
Minneapolis. Last spring Ananya Chatterjee (Professor of Dance,
University of Minnesota) met with the Mellon seminar to discuss her work
and her efforts to use dance to builds community among women of color.
This is a great opportunity to see their work.
