Fellows and Fellow Travelers:
Try as I might, this one won't fit my schedule (meetings at Minn Hist
Society at 4 and 6pm, then whip over to May Day Books to see Dave Zirin).
Perhaps some of you would prefer to go to this. It would be great to get
Sabathini Community Center on your maps. Love, Peter

LEADING THE FIGHT TO STOP HIV IN MINNESOTA
Minnesota AIDS Project

Minnesota AIDS Project invites you to be a part of an evening of
dialogue on the critical intersection of HIV and the African American
community.

The event, presented on Tuesday, June 19th at Sabathani Community
Center, will feature an appearance by acclaimed syndicated columnist
and author, Gil Robertson VI, whose most recent book Not in My Family:
AIDS in the African American Community has provided a forum for Black
America to speak for itself in the fight against HIV. The event
inaugurates the 2007 season of Minnesota AIDS Project's Allan
Spear Forums.

The evening begins with a social hour at 5:00 p.m., followed by Gil
Robertson's presentation and a panel discussion at 6:00 p.m.
Light refreshments will be available during the social hour.
Moderating the distinguished panel is former Minneapolis Mayor Sharon
Sayles Belton.

The event is co-sponsored by Soul Essence, African American AIDS Task
Force and Minnesota AIDS Project, and is supported through a generous
grant from the Jay and Rose Phillips Family Foundation.
