Greetings Comrades,
I'm just making a reminder about this week being Bridges Week and
invitation to all of you to participate in the discussions and activities that
are taking place this week. As you may know already, today is the bone marrow
donor registration drive. Tuesday at 9 is going to be Bridges second meeting, a
party @ the C-House to which all are welcome.
More importantly, I want to welcome any of you to participate in
or engage in Thursday's panel discussion on second generation mixed
race/cross-cultural/cross national identity from 12-1 in Kagin basement.
Participants in the panel itself are very much still needed at this point, so
please consider talking about your own experiences as a person of mixed
race/cross-cultural/cross-national identities if you would like to take the
time to do so. We are also in need of participants in an interracial
relationship panel, Saturday in Weyrheauser Board Room 4-5:30, on the
experience of being in these types of relationships. Please consider either or
both of these events, or of course, attending.
Friday the 28th is a movie night at the C-House which will be a
showing of Spike Lee's "Jungle Fever". There will also be baking and hot
chocolate making. Finally, on Sunday the 30th at 6pm Bridges will be showing
the film "Anomaly" in Weyrheauser Board Room. Please consider participating and
also forward this announcement on to your own organizations, friends and anyone
who may be potentially interested. For further information see or contact Danni
Sigwalt, Bridges Chair. Thank you very much.
Blaise Wallack
