Theodore S. Gonzalves
Department of American Studies,
University of Hawaii
Prof. Gonzalves is a cultural historian and an accomplished jazz composer
and keyboardist. He received his Ph.D. in Comparative Cultures from the
University of California, Irvine and his BA and MA degrees in Political
Science at Santa Clara University and San Francisco State University. His
areas of scholarly interest include: Filipino/American cultures, histories
& politics; U.S-Philippine relations; ethnic and cultural studies; cultural
nationalisms and the performing arts.
