Also consider, that 0/1 security is NEVER true. Even the best Crypto can be attacked. For example if someone gets a Trojan on my Computer I definitly lost. For example bringing encryption to a web chat might be a good idea if there was none in before even if the encryption is more unsecure than a executable. But problem is if nobody wants to install an executable it might be the better idea to make encryption in the chat rather than having none at all.
