Hi Nick, I am working on some webmail + social media connection modules. They are for an online auction application (app is in Alpha, these modules are for subsequent deployment on the features roadmap and are in the design-proof of concept phase).
It has client side (HTML5 / localstoarge / IndexedDB) with static (database and localstoarge)as well as transport encryption feature requirements. The app is mobile friendly, and is designed to run inside a Cordova wrapper. Communication to server side is via websockets to Node and PHP 5.3+ through LTE or Wi-Fi (when available). Does that help?
