I'm getting a 503, btw, when I try to hit openpgpjs.org

Carsten and I have taken pretty different approaches to the gmail plugin.
My approach integrates very tightly with the existing gmail interface. His
approach replaces gmail interface with a custom interface. Generally I
would say that mine strives more convenience, his strives more for
maintainability. One other thing to note is that his (I believe) does not
use draft uploading, so a security consideration as well. I hope to address
that soon.

If I were choosing how to design a unified plugin I would say use my front
end as default and leaving Carsten's as an option/fallback. Thoughts?
