I just learned about REBOL and am intrigued.

I write a lot of scripts to open text files, parse
information, and write a report or some other file.
My tool of choice for this activity has been VAX/VMS
DCL, but the only decent version I have found for
Windows NT is rather pricey. I've been wondering
whether or not to make the switch to Visual Basic,
but it seems like a lot of work for what often turn
out to be one-time jobs, and it's not cheap either.
I've even tried the UNIX scripting commands from
MKS Tools, but I find the syntactical acrobatics
required here to be too taxing.

Before I get too far into REBOL, I was hoping that
some of you could share a few scripts that do the
kind of jobs I described above so that I can see a
working program in the whole. As a newcomer to this
list, I am not sure what the conventions are here,
so feel free to send scripts directly to me if it
will be a bother to the list.

Thanks.
