I just wanted to say that reading about something called BNF
(Backus-Naur Form) helped me a lot when I tried to figure out how
parse works. If you know how BNF rules work, parse is almost trivial.
Well, maybe not trivial, but a lot easier anyway. :-) I recommend
doing a search for BNF in a search engine, it could be very
enlightening. EBNF (Extended BNF) helps too.
