well..on Macintosh..
this:
(t: now/time) (for x 1 1'000'000 1 []) (print now/time - t)
took:
0:05:03 with verion 2.1.2 PPC
0:00:23 with verion 2.2.0 PPC cool !!
but still don't understand why:
