Where to?: Enhancement request sent to feedback. When we
get to making another core we'll review the enhancement
requests and determine what makes sense. Until then we
can't do much about it-- some things have a higher priority
on them right now.
Build-tag was something Carl and I banged out intermittently
in the course of a couple days. Perhaps people are finding
it too limited in its abilities and the function would be
more useful if it were full featured. It really is just a
little helper function (as you can see from the source).
I use it pretty often for cgi code. But, when time allows,
items like build-tag can be reappraised, as well as other
things that are still needed in core. I know each member of
the engineering team has got lists of things that could and
should still get done in core-- For now we've gotta get
command out, and then some more ports and then ... and then
... and then ... know what I mean?
So please have patience. (: Send in code as enhancement
requests to feedback (like "ENHANCEMENT: Change build-tag to
this code here."). It might not go in, but if it does, it
probably won't happen tomorrow-- but it will be read,
responded to, and will be a great help to us all!
Thanks!
