I had the same problem. set-user asks you for a proxy and then makes
that proxy the default for all transports. I got around it by telling
set-user that I didn't have a proxy and then using something like these
lines...
system/schemes/http/proxy/host: "my.proxy.com"
system/schemes/http/proxy/port-id: 8080
system/schemes/http/proxy/type: 'generic
...to set a proxy just for the http Protocol.
