Hello,
Last night I attended one of the many LUGs (Linux Users Groups) in my area
and they were encouraging us to attend the Bazaar, the conference this
December in New York "where Free and Open Source Technology Meets the Real
World. At the Bazaar, you will learn how free and open source software fits
into your technology strategy, meet the developers who are actively
programming for the various open source projects, plus find solutions that
will save you time, money, and headaches." according to the promo at
http://thebazaar.org. It also states that "The Bazaar takes the mystery out
of the free software landscape and offers you the opportunity to see how it
all fits together first hand!"
A half-day tutorial on REBOL will be featured called "REBOL: An Innovation
in Programming" taught by Piroz Mohseni. According to his bio Mr. Mohensi is
"president of Bita Technologies Inc. which focuses on business improvement
through effective usage of technology. His areas of interest include
enterprise Java, XML, and business-to-business ecommerce applications. Prior
to creating Bita, he worked for Lucent Technologies/Bell Laboratories as
Technical Staff and Chief Architect. Mr. Mohseni writes regularly for
various Java publications and is an occasional speaker at conferences. He
can be reached at [EMAIL PROTECTED]"
Sounds great!
