Hello [EMAIL PROTECTED],

I have the same sort of "problem" on one of my mail accounts, where my
username is "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" - including the @.
REBOL chokes on this too. (Well I havn't tried recent versions, I admit).

I don't know what lead my ISP to use this scheme, but I know that they're
not planning on changing it :-/

Not that big a problem for me, as I'm quite comfortable with using the
(open [scheme: 'pop ...) notation.

The greatest potential problem I see, is scripts that use code like this:
    open join pop:// [user-name ":" password "@" mail-server]

I belive the Right Thing(tm) to do, would be to examine the appropriate specs
on POP3 username conventions (where to find?), and do one of the following:
1. Send an email to our ISPs, saying they're violating the specs
2. Send an enhancement request to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I think that it should at least have a place in the FAQ (maybe it has, don't
know if my version of the FAQ is up to date ;)

Best regards
Thomas Jensen
