If this:
Daily [
6:30 "News Ch1"
]
Weekly [
Friday 19:30 "Farscape Ch2"
]
Monthly [
20 9:00 "PAYE returns"
]
Yearly [
December 25 {Xmas is coming}
1 January {Happy New Year!}
]
One_Off_Reminders [
1/1/2000 {New Millenium?}
1/1/2001 {Another New Millenium?}
]
was in your email to your scheduler script, the script would "append"
this information to its schedule data file. If the schedule data file
was currently empty, the above information would be simply copied into
the file.
With appropriately named functions and objects, the email and the
schedule data file become executable, thus simplifying the software.
