Here's my very nearly trival mailing list script. It read the names and message from seperate files. The name list is just a plain list of email addresses, one to a line (mails.txt). The message is any text file (mail.txt). No list management (yet). You'd have to change the mydomain.tld to whatever. #!\usr\bin\rebol REBOL[ Title: "Mailing List Script (mails.r)" ] ; - Load mailing list mails: make block! load %mails.txt ; - Setup Internet mail set-net [ [EMAIL PROTECTED] mail.mydomain.tld ] ; - Setup Header mailheader: make system/standard/email [ From: "Postmaster <[EMAIL PROTECTED]" Subject: "SUBJECT" Organization: "ORGANIZATION" ] ; - Send it send/header mails read %mail.txt mailheader quit *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 12/7/1999 at 10:31 AM [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Thank you very much for the reply. The delay is what I figure too, but egroups/onelist/whatever was just a preliminary, knee-jerk reaction. What I'd really like to do is to move the processing of said e-mails to my own machine using REBOL. I'm intrigued by the millions of possibilities REBOL offers but alas I have little time left available for learning a new programming language. Hence the desperate cry for help.. :) Wayne Hunt Site Manager Amiga.org http://amiga.org
