As a workaround, you could generate a single doc complete with TOC
using the freeware program HTMLdoc -- see
http://www.easysw.com/index.html
It will generate either a single structured html file or a ps or pdf
for printing.
It works very well in my experience.

I looked and I couldn't find one. What I ended up doing was putting all the htm
l's in one directory and used a word searching program to see if what I wanted w
as mentioned anywhere. There is a searchable doc site that's just come up in th
e last couple days. Looks like human readable ascii is being "improved" right o
ut of existence.
