[REBOL] spaces in block

Hi, I found a weird thing about the block, can anyone help me?

I wrote a script:

blk: make block! 200
space: "    " ; 4 spaces
blk: [ 1 space 2 space 3]
print blk


after ran it, the result is the following:
1      2      3
You can obviously see that the space between each number is 6 instead of 4. Can
anyone tell me where I did wrong?
