Fun. :)

Reasonably easy enough. I might have mentioned before, it was loosely based
on the sid and cart scripts on rebol.org site. The systems consists of the
modified sid and cart scripts, additional scripts I wrote to provide the
display toolkit for putting it all together and some html/graphics skill.
Most of the rebol scripting is very easy to follow (considering as it's
rebol) and functions are generally quite short. I just create for example
the category page, some initial handling of the GET and almost the rest of
the page is html with one or two function calls to my basket scripts to
pull in the category list.

I use the rebol webserver that is on rebol.org to run the site on my amiga
and can do all the testing on it before uploading it. Reasonably reasy
except for the times it gives the likes of Internal Server Error which is
horrible to find the cause of the problems.

Hopefully. It has just gone live. :)

Well I haven't used any other server scripting language to create such a
system before (although I've used the larger scale all in one packages
Interworld and NetCommerce).

I also wrote a webbased front end (appropriately done using rebol) to handle
adding, amending and deleting products, etc.

Well this system I've created is not a large scale system. I wouldn't want
to try running this system (as it stands) where it handles thousands of
products or thousands of customers evey day. Prehaps could be more viable
with the likes of rebol/command using ODBC to access a SQL server or
something for the heavier database usage.

Kind Regards,
Ed.
