Yes, very true, caching will tend to prevent the counter from re-counting. When I open 
a web page, it gets cached in Netscape, then on our proxy server, then I believe again 
at
the ISP sometimes.  Is it a problem?  Not if your mostly interisted new hits.  If your 
trying to track people on your site, such as what pages they visit in which order, 
there are
a few meta tags that help:

<meta http-equiv="pragma" content="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="expires" content="0">

Initially yes.  I dare to guess index.r may not automatically work on some servers 
too.  Unfortuneately the latter wont work--without special coercion anyways.

Really its just a "poor man's SSI counter."  Best suited for something like webserv.r.

BTW: I made a "poor man's PHP" thing if anyone wants to play with it. Lets you put 
rebol code in a tag and executes it as it spits out the web page.  Works much like the 
counter.
