Just to add another set of results, without changing the default timeout, I
was able to download that file on a 384 DSL connection with no problems,
i.e. the server kept the pipe full, never a hesitation:

>> a: now/time
== 19:30:19
>> write/binary %/c/temp/6-3-00-Caitlin-45.rm read/binary
http://www.grafxsource.com/RnaG/6-3-00-Caitlin-45.rm
>> print now/time - a
0:01:43
>>

No help for your problem obviously, just another indicator the sever end is
up to snuff.

Good luck,
Steve
