There is an open source Linux accounting package called gnuCASH <http://www.gnucash.org> It uses Scheme. Development is phenomenal (see first quote below), but gnuCASH needs REBOL or something AREXX like. I forwarded some REBOL info to the gnuCASH crowd (i.e., Carl Sassanrath's message about Scheme and REBOL). There is interest, but also concern about conflicting licenses. Could someone else jump in here? Snipped from the REBOL/Core license: You may not remove from the Software or alter or add to its copyright, trademark and other proprietary rights notices contained in the Software. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software. That doesn't sound like free (open source) software to me. Unfortunately, if it's not free, we can't use it as part of gnucash. Please correct me if my understanding of the situation is incorrect.
