it bugs me too,
further it makes incorporation of that object into 
some other(s) a chore to track
if it is linked in multiple places.

does anyone have an elegant/quick way
to see who refers to an object? 
(IE who else has an == link to the same self' value?)

I want to invite you to start such a thread.
I have a personal filter set to    
look for messages that have "How do I" in the
subject line so you will definately get my attention with those.
